Introduction

We are seeking a highly organized and professional Executive Assistant to join our dynamic team at a leading Public Property Development Company in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the rules and regulations governing public companies and will be adept at providing exceptional administrative and executive support to the Directors.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Directors, including calendar management, travel coordination, and correspondence handling.
  • Ensure the Directors’ time is managed effectively by prioritizing tasks and scheduling appointments.
  • Prepare and coordinate meetings, ensuring that agendas, reports, and materials are prepared in advance.
  • Assist with the preparation of presentations and documents for internal and external meetings.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Coordinate compliance-related activities and ensure Directors are informed of regulatory requirements within the public company space.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure smooth communication and operations.
  • Handle filing and record-keeping of important documents, including corporate governance materials.
  • Assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects as requested by the Directors.

Desired Experience & Qualification

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant, preferably within a public company environment.
  • A strong understanding of the corporate governance and regulatory framework governing public companies.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in office software and systems (Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, etc.).
  • A proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable approach to work.
  • A diploma or relevant qualification in Business Administration or a related field (advantageous).
