Summary

Evening Laundry Attendants clean and re-stock the various linen supplies of the Hotel Property. Evening Laundry attendants also assist with maintenance duties of the hotel property by providing light maintenance when requested.


Wages:

  • Hourly Wage: $17 per hour.
  • Bonus: Eligible for a work performance-based bonus of up to $1.00 for every hour worked from Monday, May 5 through Sunday, October 19; must work a minimum of 200 hours in total. The associate must work until the date of commitment, agreed to at the interview.

Essential Functions

  • Wash, Dry, Fold hotel laundry.
  • Perform or assist with housekeeping services if needed.
  • Collect and distribute linens and carry them to and from hotel rooms.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of the hotel laundry room facilities.
  • Keep an updated inventory of linen and cleaning products.
  • Completes minor repairs and assists with maintenance tasks, as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Able to work with industrial cleaning supplies and chemicals.
  • Able to perform light repair work.
  • Must have an intermediate understanding of the English Language.
  • Able to take direction and correction from Supervisor with respect.
  • Able to arrive to work in-person, on-time, as scheduled, and wearing the hotel uniform.
  • Adherence to company uniform and grooming standards.

 

Preferred Competencies

  • Previous laundry, housekeeping, or cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
  • Fluent in speaking and understanding the English Language.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

 

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays, especially during the summer season.
  • Primarily works late-afternoon and evening hours, but is flexible in working varying hours; full-time or part-time.
  • During peak-season, works up to 6 days per week with up to 40 hours per week.
  • Works with industrial cleaning supplies and chemicals.
  • Will generally work indoors, but occasionally be outside and exposed to sun, hot temperatures, or rain when moving between guest rooms or common areas.
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, or stretch for long periods of time and walk the hotel grounds.
  • Able to lift and/or push up to 50 lbs.
