The Engineering Supervisor oversees the daily maintenance and technical operations of the hotel, ensuring all systems and equipment are functioning efficiently and safely. This role includes supervising engineering staff, scheduling maintenance tasks, and addressing technical issues to support hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Operations & Maintenance
Supervise daily operations and ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out on all hotel facilities: electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, elevators, hot/cold water systems, kitchen equipment, etc.
Ensure all systems are functioning efficiently and comply with safety standards.
Respond promptly to emergency repair situations.
2. Staff Supervision
Create and manage work schedules for engineering technicians.
Train, guide, and support team members in technical procedures and safety protocols.
Monitor and evaluate technician performance regularly.
3. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily logbooks, maintenance reports, and technical checklists.
Report all completed tasks, pending issues, and critical incidents to the Chief Engineer.
Monitor and manage inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
4. Safety & Compliance
Enforce occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations in the engineering department.
Conduct regular checks on fire safety systems, generators, and emergency power systems.
Coordinate with other departments during breakdowns or technical issues.
