The beautiful Holiday Inn and Roberts Centre, located in Wilmington Ohio, is looking for an Engineering Supervisor to oversee the accounting and financial functions for their property. The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for: assisting in maintaining the entire hotel facility including physical building structure; all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment. This individual ensures the upkeep of guest areas and maintains an attractive hotel. 

Essential Functions:

  • This position is primarily responsible for supervising all engineering/maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, grounds, and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security, and asset protection.
  • Supervises day to day operations of Engineering
  • Reviews the physical hotel including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems
  • Schedules an effective rooms’ preventative maintenance program on quarterly basis to include initial inspection, itemized work orders for hotel
  • Maintain working relationship with outside vendors for various aspects of the business as determined to include but not limited to landscaping, internet provider, pool maintenance, telephone/data wiring, refrigeration, pest control and suppliers
  • Acts as interim leader during absence of Chief Engineer
  • Inspects arrivals on daily basis for proactive resolution to improve guest experience
  • Works hand in hand communicating with Housekeeping to eliminate any issues found during cleaning on daily basis
  • Assists the emergency response team for all facility issues in event of disaster or critical emergency
  • Ensures regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards
  • Responsible for overall upkeep of property’s interior and exterior including swimming pool area
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments and provide support when necessary
  • Attend regular scheduled meetings such as morning line ups, staff meetings and others as needed
  • Ensure that the company’s service levels are maintained at the highest level by using all internal and external resources necessary to provide exceptional guest service
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Engineer and/or other Department Heads as needed

  • Associate must be able to walk and climb stairs.
  • Associate may have to stand,walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

  • Must be able to drive golf cart/company vehicle
  • Associate is often required to sit and use his or her hands and fingers, to handle or feel.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • Associate must talk and hear.


Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Minimum five years of experience in hotel maintenance required
  • Valid drivers’ license to operate a golf cart/company vehicle
  • HVAC Indoor Air Quality Certified
  • HVAC Green Certified
  • HVAC EPA Clean Air Certified
  • HVAC Preventative Maintenance Service Certified
  • HVAC Refrigerant 410A Certified
  • HVAC EPA Refrigerant Recycling, Recover & Reclamation Certified
  • Computer skills including but not limited to typing, internet search and Microsoft Office required
