The Trumbull Marriott Shelton is looking for a hotel engineering supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of the hotel's physical structure, systems, and equipment, ensuring a safe and functional environment for guests and staff. Key responsibilities include leading the engineering team, managing preventive maintenance programs, responding to repair requests, controlling inventory and budgets, and coordinating with other departments. The role also involves contributing to energy conservation, emergency preparedness, and maintaining safety and security standards.

 

Team Leadership:
Lead, train, and schedule maintenance staff to ensure high performance and quality of work.

Maintenance and Repair:
Perform and oversee the maintenance and repair of all hotel systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration, as well as guest rooms, furniture, and fixtures.

Preventive Maintenance:
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for all building equipment, systems, and areas to prevent breakdowns and extend asset life.

Guest & Operational Support:
Respond to guest repair requests, assist with operational needs, and ensure guest satisfaction with the hotel's facilities.

Inventory & Budget Management:
Oversee the maintenance shop, manage inventory of tools and supplies, track work orders, and contribute to expense control.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

Building Systems:
Possess in-depth knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and other mechanical systems.

Safety & Emergency Procedures:
Understand and implement emergency protocols, including fire safety, and participate in disaster response planning.

Tools & Equipment:
Safely operate power tools and other equipment used in maintenance and repairs.

Energy Management:
Assist in developing and implementing energy conservation programs to minimize utility costs.
