ENGINEER SUPERVISOR | PALIHOTEL SAN DIEGO

POSITION PROFILE

We're looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Engineer Supervisor with a collaborative spirit to support our Chief Engineer with an array of property maintenance and assist in keeping Palihotel San Diego in top-notch condition. The right candidate will have an understanding of operation, safety, and building codes on the federal and local level as well as training in HVAC, electrical, and mechanical fields.

THE TASK AT HAND:

• Supervise daily engineering and maintenance operations, including preventative and corrective maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire-life safety systems.  
• Lead, train, and support the engineering team, fostering accountability consistency, and a guest-focused mindset.  
• Monitor and complete guest room and public area work orders promptly and in order of priority.  
• Assist with scheduling, delegating tasks, and following up on team assignments to ensure timely completion.  
• Support with capital projects, property improvement plans, and renovation work as directed.  
• Conduct daily walkthroughs of the property to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement.  
• Ensure compliance with company policies, local building codes, OSHA standards, and all safety procedures.  
• Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance programs, inventory, and equipment logs utilizing HotSOS.  
• Respond to emergencies in a calm and effective manner, minimizing guest and operational impact.  
• Participate in monthly safetycommittee meetings.  

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in hotel, residential, or commercial building maintenance; supervisory experience is preferred. 
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. 
• Strong organizational skills with
• the ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
• Familiarity with HotSOS or other CMMS platforms.  
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.  
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch in tight restricted spaces.
