The Area IT Director – North & Western Europe (NOWE) is the overall end to end accountable of all the IT solutions and
services delivered across all +160 North & Western Europe properties, as
well as the overall IT responsible for the field services delivered across all
our properties. This includes direct responsibility over +€3m budget.
The NOWE Area IT
Director high level responsibilities include:
- Coaching
and support of SDMs & Local IT Managers within the area.
- Project
management of Area and Central projects.
- Planning
of IT activities on hotel openings, conversions and de-branding
- IT audit
- Compliance
follow-up
- Education
of Local IT Managers in relation to policies, standards and requirements
- Act as
Local IT Manager for Area Support Office(s).
The scope of
technology includes all electronic systems for processing, storage or
communication of digital information deployed in a hotel or office, including
but not limited to:
- Front-office
systems (PMS),
- Telephone
systems,
- Point-of-sales
systems,
- Electronic
lock systems,
- Back-office
systems,
- Office
Automation and e-mail systems,
- Guest
High Speed Internet services
- Servers
and Personal Computers,
- Local and
Wide Area Networks,
- Video-systems,
- Digital
Signage systems
- Smart
Phones, other mobile devices,
- Printers
and Fax machines, etc.,
- Etc.

This is a people
management role with an direct span of control of +10 FTEs and indirect one of up to 80 FTEs
(Local IT & 3rd party)

Role
requirements:
Proven experience in similar role: 3 years minimum required experience on a similar position. Overall experience +10 years.
Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Languages: English with full
understanding and skilled in both written and spoken language.Travel: 20%.
