We are seeking a skilled First Cook to support daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and committed to preparing high-quality food while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and consistency in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food according to the standards set by the Chef

  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen that meets food safety and WHMIS regulations

  • Ensure personal hygiene and sanitary practices are followed at all times

  • Help manage food and labour costs by following proper prep and portioning guidelines

  • Communicate with the Restaurant Supervisor, line cooks, and guests when needed

  • Represent the kitchen with a professional attitude and appearance

  • Assist with banquet service as needed

  • Execute all other duties assigned by the Chef

Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in a similar kitchen role

  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and WHMIS standards

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure

  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
