We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Commis to join our culinary team in Miri, Malaysia. As a junior member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in supporting our chefs and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen while delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning
- Support senior chefs in various cooking tasks and food preparation
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all health and safety standards
- Help with the proper storage and labeling of food items
- Assist in the plating and presentation of dishes
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food service
- Participate in kitchen cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Learn and follow recipes and cooking techniques as directed by senior chefs
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Contribute to a positive and team-oriented kitchen environment
