As a Breakfast Server at Cambridge Suites Hotel, you’ll be responsible for creating an exceptional dining experience for all guests by providing personalized service, accepting orders, and ensuring all guest expectations are met. You'll work closely with the kitchen staff to deliver quality meals and maintain a clean, organized dining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal recognition to guests, ensuring satisfaction and acknowledging return guests.
- Accept and fill orders for à la carte food items, pre-set meals, and buffets.
- Plan and prepare for each meal period by ensuring proper service equipment, cleanliness, and knowledge of daily specials.
- Communicate guest preferences or special requests to the kitchen staff to ensure satisfaction.
- Clean, and re-set tables, polish glassware and cutlery, and maintain clean service areas.
- Assist with room preparation, seating guests, and providing room service as needed.
- Build repeat business through customer recognition and positive guest interactions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
- Demonstrate decision-making abilities to regain the loyalty of dissatisfied guests.
- Promote and secure sales of hotel services and facilities.
- Adhere to emergency response standards and report incidents, accidents, or safety hazards.
- Be available to start work at 6 a.m.
Qualifications:
- Previous food and beverage experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication and guest service skills.
- Flexibility to work early shifts, including weekends.
