  A hotel breakfast attendant is responsible for ensuring guests have a pleasant and satisfactory breakfast experience. This includes setting up, maintaining, and cleaning the breakfast area, replenishing food and beverages, and providing excellent customer service. They will also assist with basic food preparation, handle guest requests, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.   

Requirements

 

  • Setting up and maintaining the breakfast area: This includes arranging tables and chairs, setting out plates, utensils, and napkins, and stocking food and beverage stations. 
  • Replenishing food and beverages: Ensuring that all breakfast items, such as pastries, fruits, cereals, coffee, juice, and hot items, are adequately stocked and fresh throughout the breakfast service. 
  • Providing excellent customer service: Greeting guests, answering questions about the breakfast offerings, assisting with special requests, and addressing any concerns or complaints. 
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization: Clearing tables, wiping down surfaces, emptying trash, and ensuring the breakfast area is tidy and presentable. 
  • Following food safety guidelines: Ensuring all food is handled and stored properly, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, and adhering to health and safety regulations. 
  • Assisting with basic food preparation: Depending on the hotel, this may involve preparing coffee, juice, or simple dishes like eggs or toast. 
  • Managing inventory and supplies: Monitoring food and beverage levels, reporting shortages to the kitchen or management, and assisting with ordering or purchasing supplies. 
  • Cleaning up after breakfast service: This includes washing dishes, cleaning the kitchen and dining areas, and ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stored. 
  • Providing a welcoming and friendly atmosphere: Creating a positive and enjoyable breakfast experience for guests.
