Looking for dynamic bartenders to join the Pizzeria Uno Team near O'Hare.

SUMMARY: The Bartender\ server is primarily responsible for serving properly mixed drinks to catered guests and\ or working as a server for dinner service. In addition to serving dine in guest, coordinate carryout and deliver orders is apart of the daily shift duties.

S/He will promote a safe working environment and quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.

The Bartender will work with supervisors, inspectors, and other members of the banquet/restaurant team to ensure maximum efficiency and exceptional service. Banquets shifts will entail setting up banquet rooms, bartending and serving food for banquet events.

The Banquet/Restaurant Bartender/ Server shall strive to provide exceptional service to guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Hotel’s Culture.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Knows and applies all federal, state, and local laws governing the service of alcoholic beverages, as well as the hotel's policies regarding liquor service liability.
  • Interprets the bar arrangements on the banquet contract and plans the set up.
  • Gathers all needed supplies and equipment for the bar set-up.
  • Sets up the banquet bar according to hotel standards and maintains it during service.
  • Performs necessary side work.
  • Serves properly mixed drinks to catered guests.
  • Takes beverage orders from service staff, or directly from customers both in the facility and carryout orders.
  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
  • Breaks down the bar at closing and returns all equipment.
  • Clean glasses, utensils, bar equipment, and roll silverware.
  • Takes liquor inventory, completes consumption report, replaces items in inventory, and accounts for empties.
  • Balance cash receipts.
  • Attempt to limit problems and liabilities related to the excessive drinking of customers.
