The Banquet cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food for banquet functions in accordance with hotel standards. This role ensures high-quality dishes are delivered efficiently, supporting seamless banquet and catering service.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and dietary requirements
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Collaborate with the culinary team to plan menus and create new dishes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Familiarity with menu planning and meal preparation
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic command of the English Language.
- Excellent knife skills for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
