Water's Edge Resort and Spa is accepting applications for our Banquet Manager position. The Banquet Manager oversees the daily execution of all banquet functions including set-up, A/V, food and beverage presentation, serving and clean up all while delivering outstanding guest service.
This position reports to the Director of Food and Beverage.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Oversee the set up and break down of function rooms.
Monitor and enhance team member performance, provide supervision, create schedules, conduct evaluations.
Recruit, interview and train team members.
Communicate function specifications with appropriate department managers.
Greet and work with client to ensure all expectations are met.
Ensure compliance with health, safety standards.
Three years of previous banquet management experience required.
Knowledge of food and beverage operations.
Excellent communication and guest relation skills in English.
Positive attitude and leadership skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Must be able to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations including the ability to handle guest complaints and disputes and resolve them to satisfactory results.
Serve Safe Manager Certificate Required.
Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, days, weekends and holidays.
Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
Able to perform moderately strenuous activity including lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 30lbs.
