The Banquet Cook ensures the highest quality dining experience for guests by preparing and presenting dishes for catered events. This role directly supports the banquet kitchen team by maintaining consistency in taste, appearance, and safety standards, contributing to the success of events and overall guest satisfaction.

HOW YOU’LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE

  • Prepare, cook, and plate food for banquet line functions in line with established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Assist with menu execution and contribute to maintaining high culinary standards.
  • Work closely with the banquet and kitchen teams to ensure events run smoothly and exceed guest expectations.
  • Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
  • Assist with receiving, stocking, and rotating inventory to support banquet operations.
  • Support banquet chefs and leads with daily prep, setup, and breakdown of kitchen operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience as a line cook, banquet cook, or in a high-volume kitchen preferred.
  • Experience preparing food for large groups or catered events a plus.
  • Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and safe operating procedures.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Culinary training or certification is a plus but not required.
  • Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) preferred.
