The Job:

As the Banquet Chef, you’ll be the culinary leader, orchestrating the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our events and banquets. You’ll design innovative, tailored menus, manage kitchen operations, and lead your team to deliver flawless service and presentation. Your creativity and attention to detail will ensure every dish exceeds expectations. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative, efficient, and creative work environment.
  • Design and create innovative banquet menus, ensuring they reflect seasonal ingredients, culinary trends, and client preferences.
  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring the highest quality and presentation standards are consistently met.
  • Maintain inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage food costs to maximize profitability while maintaining quality.
  • Implement and enforce food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with all health regulations.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to enhance their skills, foster teamwork, and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with event planners and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth and seamless service during banquet events.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, incorporating new techniques, flavors, and innovations into banquet menus.
  • Handle special dietary requests and customize banquet offerings to accommodate guest preferences and needs.
  • Manage kitchen operations efficiently during large events, ensuring timely food preparation and exceptional guest satisfaction.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

The individual must possess a 2-year degree or related experience preferred. Must have a minimum of three (3) years culinary management experience. Must be proficient in Excel. Previous experience in food service and culinary training. Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service.
