The President Hotel is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation, and we are creating a new opportunity for an Assistant Room Service Manager to join our team.
We are seeking a motivated and guest-focused Assistant Room Service Manager to support the daily operations of the In-Room Dining department. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to ensure seamless service delivery that exceeds guest expectations.
Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in food & beverage or in-room dining operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management or F&B Service advantageous
Strong knowledge of room service operations, service etiquette, and quality standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for guest service
Proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel systems (Opera PMS advantageous)
South African citizen with a valid ID
Assist the Room Service Manager in overseeing daily operations of the In-Room Dining department
Supervise and motivate room service staff to deliver prompt, professional, and courteous service
Ensure orders are prepared and delivered accurately and in line with brand standards
Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues efficiently and professionally
Monitor staff performance, provide training, and support career development
Assist in creating and implementing room service SOPs to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
Collaborate with the Kitchen, F&B, and Front Office teams to ensure seamless coordination of guest orders
Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment for in-room dining service
Must hold a valid South African ID
