The Assistant Operations Manager oversees and supports both Rooms & Food and Beverage operations on a daily basis. The ideal candidate must possess excellent leadership skills and ensure excellent customer service while maximizing revenue and profits.

THE TASK AT HAND:
Food & Beverage
- Consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service.
- Ensures service standards are followed while actively supporting the entire restaurant team.
- Manages guest concerns and reacts quickly and professionally.
- Balances operational, administrative, and colleague needs.
- Maximizes revenues by communicating regularly with the Food and Beverage teams to implement agreed upon strategies, practices, and promotions.
- Assists in managing the departmental budget.
- Oversees execution of on-site events and assists with communication to clients leading up to onsite events.
- Assists in development and implementation of cost-saving and profit-enhancing measures.
- Communicates with all departments to ensure that customer service needs and expectations are fulfilled.
- Assists with interviewing, selecting, training, counseling, disciplining, and scheduling of all food & beverage team members.
- Works directly with staff to assure food and beverage quality, good service, and cleanliness are strictly adhered to.
- Ability to execute both opening and closing duties and maintain an efficient, effective, and prioritized work schedule.
- Conducts daily inspections of F&B areas to ensure all cleanliness, safety, styling standards and sanitation standards are met.
- Participates in weekly walkthroughs with the Hotel General Manager.

- Support operational coverage on the floor, assisting guests and staff.
- Rooms
- Assist with managing all operational functions of the hotel.
- Hold regularly scheduled meetings with all team members.
- Ensure full compliance of hotel operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Assist with all key property issues including customer service.
- Handle complaints and oversee service recovery procedures.
- Ensure all decisions are made in the best interests of the hotel and management.
- Consult with General Manager in developing and implementing improvement actions and carry out cost savings.
- Assist in the procurement of operating supplies and equipment.
- Assist with managing third-party vendor relationships for essential equipment and services.
- Assist with training key team members.
- Coordinating with team members for all activities and functions.
- Arranging the weekly team member schedule.
- Assist with supervising all on-property team members while on shift.
- Be accountable for responsibilities of team members and take ownership of guest complaints.
- Provide effect leadership for team members.
- Cover Front Desk shifts as needed.
- Participate in weekly hotel inspections with the General Manager.
- Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved.
- Participate in the property Safety Committee and help lead the effort of a safe workplace.
- Support Housekeeping as needed.
- Conducts daily inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure all cleanliness, safety, and styling standards are met.
- Other duties as assigned.
ADMIINISTRATVE TASKS:
- Send Weekly Email Reports to management and attend weekly management meetings.
- Host FOH meeting every two months for AM + PM staff (Coordinate with Food and Beverage Manager on agenda).
- Review, respond and distribute F&B Emails daily.
- Manage online reservations system and communicate reservations (phone & email).
- Assist with FOH ordering – including Coffee/Tea, Ink, Paper, Supplies, and similar.
- Manage comps and discounts, manage service staff tip log, ADP Time clock, POS.
- Assist with photos and content curation for social media.
- Complete payroll for all hourly associates including reviewing timecards and tips.
- Assist with managing all operational functions of the hotel and restaurant.
- Hold regularly scheduled meetings with all team members.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Has a strong working knowledge of and passion for hospitality.
- Strong leadership skills and is able to build a cohesive team to achieve the highest quality of customer service.
- Displays a strong direct approach.

- Guest service oriented
- Knowledge of budget/cost/labor management
- Must have current Food Handlers/Class 12/ServSafe license.
- Must be able to stand or walk a minimum of eight hours.
- Requires mobility and prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
