Cafe in the Park Supervisor

Step into a leadership role at one of the most welcoming destinations in hospitality. As the Hotel Restaurant (Café in the Park) Supervisor, you will help guide and inspire a team within a family-friendly resort that is open 365 days a year. Our resort thrives on creating memorable guest experiences every single day — including all major holidays. All major holidays are mandatory workdays for this position (i.e. The week Of Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year, Easter, Mother’s Day, Memorial Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, Labor Day Weekend, etc.). This position requires a hands-on, flexible individual providing exceptional guest service, ensuring team accountability, and upholding operational standards.

Qualifications

In this position, you’ll become deeply familiar with each outlet’s daily operations to provide effective support, whether relieving employees for breaks or stepping in during busy periods. In addition to overseeing the hotel’s main restaurant, you will work closely with the Hotel Food and Beverage Outlets Manager to uphold standards and operational excellence across Moody Brews Coffee Shop, Blossom’s Pizza Shop, the Lobby Bar, and the Pool Bar

Restaurant Supervision

As a supervisor in the hotel’s restaurant, you will serve as:

  • a guiding presence on the floor, overseeing daily operations with a focus on exceptional guest service and team efficiency.
  • ensure that service standards are consistently upheld
  • employee schedules are accurately entered and maintained through Paycom
  • You will be a source of support, coaching, and accountability for your team, promoting a positive and professional atmosphere at all times

Moody Brews Coffee Shop

In this bustling, fast-paced environment, you will ensure:

  • all staff members are in proper uniform and adhering to grooming and brand standards
  • monitor cleanliness and organization throughout the shop, ensuring it is always presentable and welcoming
  • all standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed
  • oversee employee check-out procedures only after all closing tasks have been properly completed
  • Marketplace is consistently stocked and maintained

Blossom’s Pizza Shop

Your leadership will extend to Blossom’s Pizza Shop, where you will maintain operational excellence by:

  • ensuring employees meet uniform standards
  • complete all daily duties, and follow established SOPs
  • overseeing daily task completion
  • offering direct support during peak times to ensure efficient, friendly service
  • overseeing uniform compliance and staff accountability

Lobby Bar & Pool Bar

You will assist in maintaining the high standards expected across our Lobby and Pool Bars by:

  • ensuring all employees are in full uniform and proudly wearing their name tags
  • coaching and guiding staff to help keep the pool deck clean and free of debris—collecting dirty cups, removing trash, and returning used towels to the towel machine — helping to create a clean and relaxing environment for all guests
  • maintaining a guest-first approach to ensure that cocktail service is attentive and timely

 

These duties are a guideline, but you may be assigned additional tasks by the Hotel Food and Beverage Outlets Manager

 

What We are Looking for:

  • A passionate, motivated leader with a minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in food & beverage or hospitality environments (Resort experience preferred but not required)
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and all major holidays
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with scheduling software (experience with Paycom is a plus but not required)
  • Excellent multitasking abilities and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and uphold a positive, team-focused environment

Up-to-date Food Handler and TABC certifications (Moody Gardens can Assist)
