Our client is looking for a  Technical Sales Representative based in North West, Rustenburg.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage mining, project companies, distributors and buying house Customers
  • Allocation of budgets and tracking/ achieving thereof.
  • Make Customer sales calls and visitations to develop and grow the market share.
  • Track sales pipelines and develop marketing strategies in closing deals and converting them to orders.
  • Co-ordinate promotions on slow moving stock with marketing department to effectively reach out to our customer base.
  • Grow market share by developing new and existing Customers
  • Identify key accounts and develop marketing strategies for those respective Customers to ensure their respective growth and success.
  • Build and maintain strong relations with senior management from the mining houses such as Engineering managers, Procurement Managers and General Managers.
  • Analyze and evaluate current market conditions, eg: In depth knowledge concerning each customer as well as company oppositions in the territory, their strategies and developments
  • Brief the CEO and Marketing Manager on market movement, competitor pricing and strategies as well as growth opportunities based on competitor short falls and customer requirements within the market.
  • Provide customers with technical information relating to conveyor belts and other rubber products.
  • When required, do technical audits of the conveyor systems on surface or underground conveyor belt structures. These technical assessments are to assist the customer by means of:
  • Understanding the current working conditions of the conveyor belt.
  • List any potential shortfalls that negatively affect the life and functionality of the current conveyor belt eg: pinch points, entrapment or impact concerns, belt tracking to mention a few scenarios.
  • Once identified, shortfalls are to be noted on the official inspection report with technical reasons as well as recommended solutions.
  • If required, highlight correct belt to suit the application eg: Higher abrasion resistance or rip and tear prevention depending on the findings of the inspection report.
  • Compile technical PDF report with findings of the audit that will include pictures and explanations as well as a conclusion of the inspection and recommendations on the findings.
  • Monitor expenses, Car, cell phone, traveling, entertainment, etc.
  • Monthly debtors meetings to ensure customer accounts are up to date and maintained.
  • Develop & service new customers for the product in unrepresented segments & regions within south Africa.
  • Manage stock levels & inventory in accordance with customer needs & contractual agreements where applicable
  • Such other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time by Management
Qualification
  • Grade 12
  • Relevant qualifications (certificates)
  • Valid South African driverse license
  • Must have relevant experience
