The Technical Program Management team is responsible for program and project management and execution within the larger Cloud Engineering and Franchise Services department (CEFS). As a member of our Technical Program Management team, you will a key contributor to the success of initiatives to maintain and enhance our AWS Platform and related technologies.  You’ll also use your knowledge of different delivery methodologies to help teams mature and enhance their delivery capabilities.

Your Responsibilities

As a Technical Program Manager 2, your job responsibilities will include:

  • The day-to-day management of your assigned projects
  • Acting as a servant leader to teams by removing impediments and helping them maximize flow
  • Engaging in effective customer communication and stakeholder management
  • Guiding and supporting teams in their adoption of lean/agile best practices
  • Participating in and driving continuous improvement activities across all aspects of our delivery model
  • Adopting and leveraging Product, Engineering and Ownership mindsets in everything you do

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or related field, from a four-year college or university, or a combination of equivalent education and/or work experience
  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience in IT Project or Program Management,
  • Working knowledge of the basics of Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, etc) sufficient to be conversive with technical teams
  • Proficient in Windows and M365 Office productivity tools
  • Proficient in use of meeting and collaborations tools such as Zoom, Webex, Lucid, Mural
  • Proficient in use of agile delivery/project management tools such as Jira, Rally, Azure DevOps, etc and an understanding of the purposes they serve
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Program Management as a discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and ensure accountability

Your Team

This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Senior Manager, Technical Program Management. You will have four peer teammates and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.

Field/Remote — Select roles designated as field/remote will require associates to work from a home office, connecting virtually with Choice team members and leadership on Zoom, with possible required travel depending on the role.
