The Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown is looking for a Substitute Residential Concierge who fully embodies our values, shares a passion for excellence, and infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. As Substitute Residential Concierge, you will be accountable for shaping the client experience by providing exceptional service in support of our world-renowned hotel. FSNYD is recognized as a Forbes 5 Star Hotel; Forbes 5 Star Spa and AAA 5 Diamond Hotel.

This position reports to the Residences Management Team for New York Downtown.

Responsibilities

The Substitute Residential Concierge will respond to a wide variety of Residence owner, resident and guest requests by accurately assessing and responding to the owners, residents or their guests’ needs, then adding personal recommendations and touches to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.

Some of the duties of a Residential Concierge are:

• Handles all owner and resident interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating requests whenever possible
• Processes packages, faxes, messages, mail and other items which may be either outgoing or incoming in an accurate and timely manner and keep track as necessary.   
• Handles additional requests from supervisor as directed.
• Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
• Assures that desk collateral and information for residences, hotel, restaurants, museums, attractions, maps, and other local attractions are updated and current.
• Knows what activities are available in the city (theatre, sports, concerts, shows, special exhibits, sightseeing) and establishes close contacts with preferred vendors in these areas in order to provide information, ticketing, and reservations for owners, residents and guests.
• Stores incoming packages, items for owners and residents as necessary.
• Utilizes a variety of software programs to accurately input special arrangements the owner, resident has made and to assure proper billing.
• Assists during all emergencies and will provide an updated list of residents, including disabled and elderly residents as well as pets, when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for individuals who have a solid knowledge of the location, are hands on and have strong business acumen, good communication skills and are able to evidence professionalism and adaptability. Applicants are required to have two to three years experience in a related position. Knowledge of foreign languages is advantageous.  Previous NY concierge experience is beneficial.  Member of Les Clef D’or preferred. This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.

Hourly rate range- $30- $35
