About this position

This position is responsible for overseeing all storeroom inventory and operations.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Check shipment by comparing it with purchase order and/or invoice to insure what is being received is what was ordered (quantity, price, quality, state, size, count, weight tolerance and acceptable expiration date and received at the proper temperature).
  • Work in conjunction with Director of Food and Beverage, Executive Chef and Director of Finance to ensure appropriate handling, transport, and documentation of all food ordering and receiving between departments.
  • Work in conjunction with the Front Desk Team to ensure appropriate handling and transport of packages received for hotel departments.
  • To follow/adhere to established standard operating procedures and local health regulations.
  • Document discrepancy and notify supervisor immediately of shortage.
  • Help to set up local vendors and products and communicate items that need to be used.
  • Assists with placing orders or any other reasonable task assigned.
  • Receives orders and rotates stock when putting the orders away. All incoming products need to be rotated and dated to ensure the products are rotated properly to avoid spoilage.
  • Assist in conducting End-Of-Month Physical Inventory.
  • Ensure all storage areas and walk-in coolers are clean and organized at all times
  • Ensure service and receiving landing are clean and organized
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications and Expectations:

  • Minimum formal education of a high school diploma, or GED.
  • A minimum of one year of job-related experience in purchasing/inventory control/warehouse experience.
