Job Summary: 

The Specialist - Scoping, Pricing, and Estimation role leads scoping, design support, and project oversight for distributed antenna system (DAS) deployments. This role ensures accurate scope development, compliance with engineering, project management, and field teams. In this hybrid engineering/technical role, you will remotely support DAS design planning, site readiness evaluation, documentation creation, level of effort, pricing and site level budgets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Scoping & Design Support

  • Lead DAS project scoping efforts by evaluating architectural plans, RF system designs, and field data.
  • Evaluate telecom interface systems and site readiness in coordination with project managers and field technicians.

  • Conduct and validate in-building wireless designs to ensure technical accuracy, code compliance, and alignment with project requirements.

Documentation & Standards Compliance

  • Develop technical scoping packages, including floorplans, riser diagrams, bills of materials (BOM), and scope narratives.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including redlines, asset tracking, and customer records.

  • Apply and enforce standards based on NEC, BICSI, TIA, and jurisdictional codes


Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide remote commissioning support, troubleshooting, and post-installation validation.
  • Review signal testing and coverage reports, offering engineering recommendations

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with project managers, engineering teams, and field staff to meet scope, quality, and schedule requirements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for technical inquiries from internal and external stakeholders..

Managerial Responsibility

  • This position does not have direct reports.

Travel/Shift Requirements

  • Occasional travel, less than 25%.

  • Verbal Communication: Requires the ability to speak clearly and effectively during extended phone and video calls, conveying ideas and concepts to customers, leadership, and team members. 

  • Visual Acuity: Must be able to view and interpret complex documents, spreadsheets, and presentations on a computer screen for extended periods. 

  • Manual Dexterity: Regular use of hands and fingers is required to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. 

  • Sitting for Prolonged Periods: The role primarily involves sitting at a desk for long periods while working on a computer or participating in virtual meetings. 

  • Auditory Ability: Requires the ability to hear and understand information communicated during meetings and conference calls, including discerning varying tones and voices. 

  • Cognitive Focus: Must maintain focus and concentration to grasp complex financial concepts, develop strategic plans and make informed decisions during meetings and work sessions.

guide decision-making and optimize financial performance. 

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with other departments to ensure that planning 

and forecasting activities are integrated and support the overall business strategy. 

  • Problem-Solving: Quickly grasp complex concepts, identify potential issues, and develop 

solutions to ensure successful project outcomes. 

  • Proficiency with Technology: Demonstrated proficiency in using advanced technology tools and 

software, including financial modeling, project management, and communication platforms, to 

enhance productivity and support data-driven decision-making.

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, or a related field; on equivalent amount of experience may be considered. 
  • Minimum of 8 or more years' experience with in-building DAS construction (Cellular and Public Safety systems).
  • Previous experience conducting or reviewing remote site surveys and DAS scoping packages.
  • Experience in the telecom industry and familiarity with relevant products and services is a plus.
