Job Summary:
The Sous Chef, is responsible for leading and managing a kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, high-standard environment. This role involves preparing meals for various outlets, overseeing stock control, and training junior staff. Working closely with the Executive Sous Chef, the Sous Chef ensures smooth daily operations, maintains strict hygiene standards, and contributes to menu development. Ideal candidates are creative, detail-oriented, and possess strong leadership skills to inspire and maintain a motivated kitchen team.

Minimum Requirements:
· Matriculation certificate (or the equivalent)
· Either Culinary Arts, Catering management or Food Service Management diploma
· ESSENTIAL min of 3 years’ experience as a Sous Chef within a 4 or 5 * property in the Hot Kitchen
· HACCP certification
Main Attributes:
· Skilled in producing high-quality meals for multiple outlets
· Strong leadership ability to manage and motivate a team of approximately 10 staff members
· Proficient in training junior staff and guiding trainees in kitchen best practices
· Knowledgeable in stock control and effective inventory management
· Able to support the Executive Sous Chef with various operational responsibilities as needed
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare, cook, and present dishes for designated outlets, ensuring high standards in taste and presentation
· Lead, manage, and supervise a team of approximately 10 kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment
· Train and mentor junior staff and trainees, providing guidance on culinary techniques and maintaining kitchen standards
· Oversee stock control and inventory, ensuring proper ordering, storage, and cost management
· Assist the Executive Sous Chef with menu planning, quality control, and additional duties as required to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
