Midas Hospitality is seeking a Senior Analyst, Hotel Operations to join our team. As a Senior Analyst, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the performance of our hotel portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about transforming data into actionable insights that drive operational excellence. You will work closely with the Operations and Asset Management teams to analyze financial data, improve hotel operations, and develop strategic recommendations to optimize performance and drive profitability. This role will also lead the development of operating proformas for third-party managed hotels.

What You Will Be Doing:

Operational, Financial, and Strategic Analysis

• Analyze operational, financial, and guest satisfaction data to identify improvement opportunities and monitor key performance indicators (e.g., occupancy, ADR, RevPAR).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine KPIs, support property teams with in-depth analysis, and propose actionable solutions for enhanced performance.
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards, reports, and summaries for leadership and ownership groups.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and presentations to communicate performance metrics and insights.
• Conduct detailed revenue and cost trend analysis to identify growth opportunities and develop actionable insights to improve GOP.
• Create profitability and cash flow forecasts to support operational decisions.
• Support the implementation of process improvements across departments to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.

Hotel Operating Proformas

• Create detailed operating proformas for acquisitions and third-party management contracts utilizing market data, comp set data, and internal and external operating benchmarks.

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Assist with the forecasting, budgeting, and labor optimization processes.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.

Market Research and Benchmarking

• Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and evaluate industry trends to ensure Midas Hospitality remains competitive.
• Provide insights on market conditions, demand trends, and competitor positioning.

Asset Management

• Provide analytical support to Asset Management in evaluating hotel performance, cash flow projections, capex, and return on investments.
• Provide support for potential acquisitions, developments, refinancings, and dispositions. Assist in the evaluation of investment opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality asset management, real estate finance, hotel operations, or investment analysis (hotel experience strongly preferred).
• Exposure to multiple hotel brands a plus (Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Hyatt, etc.).
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with BI visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a plus.
• Advanced financial modeling skills with a strong understanding of hotel financial statements, operations, and KPIs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial data to senior leadership and external clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for hospitality and a desire to collaborate with diverse teams, including Operations, Sales, Revenue, IT, and Accounting.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
