Security Officer
SUMMARY
Assist guests with directions and answers all questions in a friendly and courteous manner. Investigates all accidents and completes reports. Ensures that minors are not in gaming areas and patrons and employees are not in unauthorized areas. Protects the assets of guests, employees, and the company.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists guests by giving directions and answering questions in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Adheres to safety and loss prevention policies and procedures
- Interfaces with applicable departments to ensure customers receive superior guest service.
- Identifies and resolves employee and guest concerns.
- Interfaces with all applicable law enforcement agencies.
- Checks identification of guests to ensure that only those 21 years of age and older are allowed in gaming areas.
- Escorts guests and employees when transporting money.
- Directs traffic when necessary.
- Driving Company vehicles
- Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to move quickly in response to emergency situations.
- Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Must be the ability to deal with volatile situations by verbally defusing them or by physically restraining a violent person.
- Must be able to qualify in accordance with company firearm's requirements.
- Must be 21 years of age and be able to obtain all local, state and federal regulatory permits as required by position.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and evenings.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must work calmly and under stress when the volume of business increases. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, lift up to 45 pounds, and to carry the weight up to 25 feet. Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, extreme heat/cold and high noise levels.
