Principal Responsibilities
My Guest
- Determines and actively solicits prospective customers garnered from existing market information and resources.
- Develops and maintains prioritized customer accounts and prospecting mailing lists.
- Solicits, prospects, and develops leads and quotes.
- Generates and presents proposals and contracts.
- Negotiates group bookings within established parameters.
- Independently generates new business and revenue objectives outlined in the action plans.
- Prepares and presents tailored presentations for prospective clients.
- Entertains potential and existing clients.
My Product
- Attends and participates in related business activities, out-of-town sales trips and trade shows as required.
- Participates in an annual incentive plan – based on achievement of activities and revenue goals.
My Colleague
- Coaches and counsels Sales Coordinator to maximize productivity.
My Chelsea
- Complies with hotel policies and procedures.
- Highly visible with an accommodating attitude at all times.
Academic and Working Qualifications
Working Experience
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a seller in hospitality, preferably hotels.
• Positive attitude and supportive, team based, approach towards the attainment of the hotel's goals.
Knowledge
• Computer literacy (Delphi, Word, Excel).
• Ability to understand and interpret financial data.
Education
• Bachelors Degree and/or Hotel Management Degree preferred
Soft Skills
• Highly focused ‘hunter’ working towards accomplishing monthly quotas linking sales activities, room night generation and new business leads.
• Must be results oriented with ability to be flexible to changing market conditions.
Language
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to travel and work flexible hours and days.
