The Restaurant Manager will be responsible of the resort's fine dining restaurant operations, actively collaborating with the Head Chef and reporting to the F&B Director.   

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Setting and maintaining standards to ensure that the customer experience is efficient, effective and hospitable.
  • As the most senior brand ambassador the GM must be fully versed in the brand standards and ensure that all colleagues are aware and also maintain these standards.
  • Ensures that all maintenance issues are rectified as soon as possible by taking responsibility for any quotes required.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
  • Must be a self-motivator and motivator of others.
  • Ensure that reservations are managed well within the outlet and seating capacities are effectively maximised.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Constantly identify areas for improvement in service and food and beverage quality by reviewing various service quality audit reports.
  • Must be able to consistently delight and satisfy our Guests
  • Observe the competition, current market and international trends, prices with the market and other new ideas and react accordingly
  • Must have very good communication skills
  • Must have excellent attention to details, and extensive service knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge of raw materials, foods and wines is required
  • Ensure guests preferences are remembered by colleagues
  • Develop outlet up-selling strategy and communicate to all relevant staff
  • Ensure food and beverages are presented to guests according to the standards of the outlet
  • Deal with guest complaints in a timely manner and update F&B Director where appropriate
  • Ensure that hotel grooming, uniform and hygiene standards are being maintained, enhancing a professional image
  • Be aware of, and comply with, safe working practises as laid down under FHLSS. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards at your work place
  • Adhere to Safe&Sound procedures regarding  HACCP standards

Mandatory

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position, in luxury hotels/resorts.
  • Reading, writing and verbal proficiency in English and Italian languages.
  • Strong leadership skills.  

Desiderable

  • Other languages knowledge.
  • Internationally recognized Degree or Diploma
