The Four Seasons Hotel Chicago is looking for a Bartender for Adorn Bar & Restaurant who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do.   

  

Responsibilities 

  • Oversee and assist the entire front of house team with beverage-related service.  

  • Participate in continuous training regarding spirits, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages. 

  • Participate in pre-shift meetings to present on cocktails & spirits for daily updates and continuous knowledge.  

  • Display, at all times, a friendly, courteous and professional manner in all dealings with guests, patrons and other employees.  

  • Perform tasks and projects as delegated by the leadership team.  

  • Execute and facilitate service in cooperation with room service coordinators, other servers, cooks, chefs, stewards, and managers.  

  • Facilitate communication between FOH & BOH.  

  • Ensure guests receive responsive, professional and gracious service at all times. 

  • Develop rapport with guests.  

  • Describe menu features as needed (including changes and additions).  

  • Answer any food and beverage related question in regards to the menu offerings. 

  • Assist chef in expediting food.  

  • Ensure that all Food & Beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the standards.  

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment at all times, including COVID-19 related policies and procedures.  

  • Plate & prepare small food items and accompaniments.  

  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and alcohol consumption. 

  

Preferred Qualifications and Skills 

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace.  

  • Confident and takes pride in personal style and appearance.  

  • Good communication skills: verbal, non-verbal and written.  

  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of POS system 

  • Ability to train, teach and motivate associates with consideration of patience.  

  • Multi-Task with a high attention to detail while remaining calm and being attentive to one’s surroundings in a loud, fast paced distracting environment.  

  • Ability and flexibility to work all shifts, including overnight weekends and holidays.  

  • Ability to work entire shifts while supporting other co-workers.  

  • Complies with Four Seasons’ category one and category two work rules and standard of conduct as set forth by EmPact.  

  • Ability to describe all menu items, prices, methods of cooking, allergens and presentation. 

  • Ability to carry and balance trays and/or push/pull carts.  

  • Complete knowledge of service guidelines outlined in the Adorn manual.  

  • Further duties not currently listed in this outline may be added at the manager’s discretion.
