Hotel Indigo Nashville @ the Countrypolitan in Printers Alley is seeking a Night Audit Supervisor to supervise the hotel and desk operations during overnight shifts. You may be the only person at the desk on some shifts, so independence, accountability, and professionalism are essential.

Summary
Starting Pay: $23–25
The Night Auditor is responsible for the overnight audit process and accounting functions such as daily reporting of revenue and accounts payables, transaction audits and verifications, and preparation of final statements for the next day’s checkouts. They must also perform front office duties for late-night guests.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Check front office accounting records for accuracy and summarize information for the hotel’s financial records.
- Track room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other front office operating statistics.
- Prepare a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities reflecting the hotel’s daily transactions.
- Post room charges and room taxes to guest accounts including guest transactions not posted during the day by the front office cashier.
- Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts.
- Ensure that all charges are assigned to the appropriate departments.
- Verify that all transactions performed at the front desk are supported by documentary evidence and signatures.
- Monitor the current status of coupon, discount, and other promotional programs.
- Perform tasks of the front desk clerk as well as usual job assignments.
- Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
- Balance front desk postings and prepare reports.
- Run end-of-day process in property management system.
- Balance cash drawers and prepare accurate reports as necessary.
- Resolve guest issues and complaints, report guest concerns to management.
- Respond to guest needs, requests, and complaints.
- Additional tasks may be assigned at any given time.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Must already know how to use Opera PMS.
- Possess basic accounting skills with the ability to resolve all accounting errors or issues overnight.
- Walk the hotel property regularly during the shift to ensure guest safety and overall security.
- Report and address any and all guest issues promptly.
- Ensure nightly brand reward redemptions are accurately entered.
- Confirm that 2nd shift teams have completed their closing duties.
- Verify all cash drawers are accurate.
- Take inventory of retail operations.
- Provide detailed reporting on guest folios and house charges.
- Support front office operations as needed.
- Must have at least 2 years of prior hotel management experience.
- Must be reliable in arriving to work on time and staying until the next shift arrives.
Job Requirements Qualifications:
- 2 year degree or matching experience.
- Strong knowledge of Opera PMS is required
- Minimum of 2 years prior hotel management experience.
- Understanding of basic accounting functions.
- Previous hotel night audit and front desk experience preferred.
- Must have knowledge of principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Strong communication skills, auditing procedures, and general administrative tasks.
- Ability to work independently and remain organized.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and work for 6 to 8 hours.
- Availability to work overnight shifts consistently.
