Reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage, the Maitre D will coordinate all front-of-house food and beverage operations. Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and knowledgeable in wines and spirits, they create memorable moments while supporting the team in providing high-quality service.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Ensure guest satisfaction and the overall quality of the customer experience
- Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and recognize returning guests
- Manage the monthly inventory of wines and spirits
- Provide hands-on support to the team with various service-related tasks to ensure smooth operations
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager
- Present and train the team on new products (wines and spirits)
- Develop the cocktail menu
- Manage wine selection and maintain professional relationships with suppliers to ensure a high-quality offering
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Hotel experience is an asset
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in the restaurant industry
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in management
- Strong knowledge of wine, cocktails, and mixology
- Collaborative leadership style with strong managerial skills; an effective trainer focused on employee engagement
- Professional, enthusiastic, personable, and proactive
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
