As a member of the hospitality team, the primary role of a Maintenance Technician is to ensure the overall cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the facilities. This role is responsible for inspections and repairs to handling electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks. A crucial part of this role is to keep detailed records and coordinate with external vendors, when necessary to ensure the property is always in top-notch condition, enhancing the satisfaction of both staff and visitors alike.

  • Perform routine HVAC maintenance tasks, including cleaning or replacing filters and screens, thoroughly cleaning condenser and evaporator coils, and replacing fan belts on HVAC and exhaust fans.
  • Check compactor PSI readings to ensure proper functioning and safe waste disposal.
  • Perform daily restroom inspections for broken, damaged, or nonworking toilets, sinks, soap dispensers, etc., and promptly address issues for a hygienic and functional environment.
  • Conduct quarterly roof inspections or as needed to identify and address any damages or potential leaks.
  • Take responsibility for monthly fire extinguisher inspections to ensure they are in good working condition and ready for emergencies.
  • Check irrigation pumps and irrigation lines daily to maintain proper watering of the landscape.
  • Inspect for irrigation leaks daily to conserve water and prevent damage to the property.
  • Maintain lighting control panel schedules to ensure adequate illumination in various areas.
  • Change ballasts as needed for efficient operation of fluorescent lights.
  • Replace burned-out light bulbs, tubes, and repair fixtures as needed to maintain a well-lit environment.
  • Repair and install ceramic and linoleum tiles, associated hardware, and other common area components to keep the property in good condition.
  • Install and maintain lock hardware by changing tumblers or cylinders and re-key as required to enhance security.
  • Clean and repair the fountain filter system and add chemicals as prescribed to maintain water quality.
  • Replace GFI outlets to ensure electrical safety in wet or damp areas.
  • Rewire light fixtures as needed to maintain proper electrical connections and prevent hazards.
  • Wire electrical fountain pumps to ensure proper functioning.
  • Paint and repair the interior and exterior of structures, handrails, etc., as required to maintain a neat appearance and prevent deterioration.
  • May perform a variety of groundskeeping as directed to maintain the overall appearance of the property.
  • Assist with event setup to ensure smooth operations and a positive experience for participants.
  • Help with event strikes, ensuring efficient cleanup and restoration of the area after events.
