Pest Control/Maintenance Engineer
POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for all aspects of pest control including bed bug inspection, treatment and program maintenance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work in conjunction with the front desk in the treatment of guest rooms and public areas for all types of insects and pests.
- Complete all appropriate paperwork for treatments carried out as required by the 4Queens treatment programs and regulatory agencies (AHJ).
- Maintain accurate detailed records for all pest control activities.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Respond promptly to guest calls for maintenance issues in rooms, providing efficient and courteous service.
- Address maintenance requests in kitchens and on the casino floor, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions, implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and schedule preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines during maintenance operations.
- Assist in the planning and execution of larger-scale maintenance projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other Engineering staff.
- Assume all maintenance engineer duties as assigned when required.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Capable of understanding the 4Queens bed bug treatment program and have the ability to review and update the program requirements with management as needed.
- Capable of determining the kind of treatment required to eliminate all types of pest, adjust chemical mixtures as needed.

- Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements, especially in pest control work.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must have the ability to move in and out of every area in the hotel/casino. Mobility and dexterity to constantly carry at least 30 pounds and lift at least 100 pounds.
- May have to work in noisy, smoky conditions. May have to work in cold and hot conditions.
