THE JOB:

The Lead/Foreman Painter is responsible for providing administrative and technical support to management in planning and overseeing the daily operations of assigned painters while inspecting the completion of their work. This role fosters a courteous and professional team environment focused on maintenance and repairs across all areas of the property, performing duties as a combination painter in all phases of painting and wall covering.

THE STARTING RATE: $38.86 hourly

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Perform, delegate, plan and coordinate required repairs, adjustments, or replacement of equipment

  • Work with vendors, contractors, and other internal departments

  • Provide estimates and order materials

  • Responsible for completion of all jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management and maintain logbook

  • Respond to all facility emergencies and coordinate containment and repairs; report on a daily log all operational conditions  during shift, ensure completion of assigned and closed-out work orders

  • Walk daily route, report and supervise necessary repairs

  • Operate power and hand tools to complete job assignments in a timely manner; to include ability to operate conventional  and/or airless spray equipment as required, prepare surface to be painted, paint and install wall covering, adjust paint to  proper color as necessary, patch, tape and texture and acoustic as necessary

  • Keep team informed and updated on current technical methods

  • Advise management of any unusual conditions within the property

  • Understand the layout of the property, hotel rooms, and equipment

  • Maintain constant awareness of property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention, able to wear/use personal protective  equipment (p.p.e.)


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience trade school or apprenticeship program required

  • 5+ years of prior relevant experience casino and/or hotel resort operations or related field required

  • 6+ years of prior relevant experience reading and understanding blueprints and shop drawings required

  • 8+ years of prior relevant experience commercial construction and remodeling required

  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
