We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Cook to join our team at the 1824 Kitchen and Bar at the new Marriott hotels at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry, GA. 1824 specializes in fresh, high-quality American fare. This is not a heat-and-serve kitchen—our menu is built around real cooking with fresh ingredients, scratch-made recipes, and creative presentations.
- Take the lead in preparing and cooking classic and modern American dishes to high standards.
- Assist in menu execution with an emphasis on freshness and flavor.
- Oversee kitchen operations during your shift, ensuring smooth workflow and timely service.
- Train, mentor, and support line cooks and kitchen staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen that exceeds food safety and sanitation standards.
- Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure consistency, quality, and guest satisfaction.
- Proven experience as a lead cook, line cook, or similar role in a restaurant that values fresh, made-from-scratch cooking.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to set the pace in a busy kitchen.
