About the role:

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans is seeking candidates to join our team as Laundry/Valet Supervisor. The Laundry/Valet Supervisor will assist the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Director of Housekeeping to lead the staff  and the operation of the Laundry department. The ideal candidate excels at anticipating guest needs, delivering personalized service, and maintaining the highest standards in alignment with brand policies and service philosophy.

What you will do: 

  • Assists in leading staff and operations in related departments to ensure consistency in guest service and adherence to operational standards.

  • Assists in recruitment, training and coaching, and providing support in staff schedules.

  • Ensures communications and follow-up on any problems, guest requests or special requirements.

  • Develops daily productions schedules, assesses priorities for each type of linen that needs to be laundered.

  • Assigns staff to complete the activities needed for the day.

  • Inspects all areas of responsibility daily to ensure that standards are being met, staff are being supported, and guest needs are being met.

  • Acts as the leader on duty in the absence of senior leadership, taking swift and appropriate action in emergency, safety, or guest-related situations. 

  • Supports the financial goals of the department, by helping to manage and control of  labor expenses and other divisional expenses such as supply and maintenance costs.

  • Responsible for accurate inventory records. Participates in periodic Linen, Uniform and Supplies Inventories and recommends appropriate actions passed on to Senior leader in Housekeeping.

  • Maintains all areas of department including storage facilities and product inventory areas are organized and well maintained.-Supports effective operation of the Housekeeping department by assisting the department when needed.

  • Ensures that equipment is properly maintained. 

What you bring: 

  • Minimum 3 + years experience in a similar role, in a luxury hotel setting preferred.

  • Requires excellent leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and challenge a diverse team.

  • Computer proficiency with knowledge of hotel operating systems.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 8 hours a day. 

  • Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States.  Ability to speak Spanish strongly preferred.

  • Must have a U.S. Work Authorization.

Schedules and Hours:

  • This position is a full-time position. Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 30 hours weekly, and must be able to work flexible shifts including early mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
