Job summary: 

Process all Housekeeping and Food and Beverage linen in accordance with the hotel standards

Shift requirements:

• Typically, 9am-5pm with occasional evening shifts

Responsibilities

• Having knowledge of all stages of the linen processing
• Sort soiled and clean linen
• Run clean laundry though the proper machinery
• Operation all laundry equipment (washers, dryers, presser)
• Contribute positively to the team within the department
• Prepare for any/all guest requests
• Participate in on-going training
• Comply with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards as required by scheduling which will vary dependent upon the hotels needs
• Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor
• Ensure to keep storages clean and organized
• Attend required meetings
• Immediately respond/ report to any potentially dangerous conditions
• Complete all checklist items
• Maintain communication with team members to ensure assigned tasks/ requests are completed in a timely manner.
• Verify assignments have been completed before the end of the shift
• Responsible for maintaining hotel equipment ensuring to wash and clean equipment as needed to ensure it is kept in proper working conditions
• Be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in housekeeping department in hotel or related service industry preferred
• Contributes to team results.
• Ability to overcome unexpected obstacles through resourceful means.
• High school or equivalent education required.
