Quarter is looking for reliable, fun, and hard-working Kitchen Porters to join our teams at the Square and at No.4 Clifton Village (1 role available at each venue). These are part-time positions offering either 15 hours per per week worked over 3-4 short shifts (at the Square) or 10 hours per week worked over 2 shifts each week (at No.4). Ability to work to a rota including weekends and evenings is a must.
About the Square: The Square is one of the most exciting and stylish venues in Bristol, combining an award-winning restaurant, exclusive private members club and lively bar. The Square is also one of the most sought after event spaces in the city, playing host to a variety of public events, as well as private weddings and other celebrations.
About No.4: No.4 Clifton Village is a charming independent restaurant in the heart of Clifton village, Bristol. Located in a beautiful Georgian Mansion house, this unique and versatile seasonal kitchen offers à la carte and private dining, boutique weddings, luxurious afternoon teas and small, bespoke, conferences.
Details of the Kitchen Porter role:
- Based at either the Square or No.4 in Clifton, Bristol
- Square role: 15 hours per week, usually worked over 3-4 shifts per week.
- No.4 role: 10 hours per week, usually worked over 2 shifts per week.
- Both roles will involve working to a rota basis, including evening shifts, daytime shifts and weekends.
- From £11.00 - £12.25 per hour plus a share of the service charge at the venue
What will you be doing as Kitchen Porter?
- Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen in line with Environmental Health standards (training will be provided)
- Washing up, cleaning all plates, pans and other items (all units have catering dishwashers)
- Putting away orders using good stock rotation practices
- Removing recycling and general waste to outdoor bins
Our ideal Kitchen Porter:
- May have had some prior experience in a similar role, but this is not required as full training will be offered
- Will have good availability across the week, including weekends.
- Will be a hard worker and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Will be a friendly and fun member of the team – willing to get stuck in!
- Will be reliable and committed to supporting the venue they are working in
