General Hotels Corporation is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor for our Crowne Plaza Indianapolis hotel. Primary responsibilities are to monitor and train staff while enforcing performance standards and issuing disciplinary actions as needed. The Housekeeping Supervisor must have a clear and concise knowledge of hotel standards and ensure that all staff abides by hotel work rules, policies, and procedures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for opening and/or closing the housekeeping office, including breaking out the house and completing end of day paperwork.
- Responsible for monitoring contract labor employees, keeping track of hours and faxing the hour sheet in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.
- Monitor hours worked to manage efficiency and excess hours.
- Inspect rooms on a daily basis to maintain standards of hotel and confirm that all assigned tasks of staff have been completed; as well as ensure that all rooms have been stocked appropriately.
- Monitor public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained at all times.
- Assist in training of new employees.
- Be available to cover shifts and other job duties including cleaning rooms and laundry when needed.
- Monitor and supervise laundry staff to keep laundry running smoothly.
- Must be knowledgeable of hotel procedures including lost and found and shipping and maintain accurate records.
