We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Housekeeping Manager to lead and inspire our housekeeping team, ensuring exceptional cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Position Summary:
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all guestrooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and schedule housekeeping staff including room attendants and housepersons.

  • Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met.

  • Maintain inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities; manage par levels and place orders as needed.

  • Implement and uphold hotel SOPs, safety protocols, and brand cleanliness standards.

  • Collaborate with the front office and engineering teams to ensure timely room readiness and prompt resolution of guest requests or issues.

  • Monitor labor costs and productivity; schedule staffing according to occupancy and operational needs.

  • Lead team meetings, performance evaluations, and ongoing training to maintain a high-performance culture.

  • Manage lost and found, deep cleaning schedules, and departmental logs.

  • Respond to guest feedback promptly and professionally, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping within a hotel or resort setting (boutique/lifestyle experience a plus).

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and hotel cleanliness protocols.

  • Familiarity with PMS and housekeeping systems (e.g., Mews, Opera, HotSOS).

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
