The Meerendal Boutique Hotel is situated in Durbanville, Western Cape.
> Participate in daily operational activities in the Hospitality department (includes all aspects related to the hotel, events) aiming to provide outstanding quality customer service to guests.
> Full front desk, reception and reservationist function.
> Managing reservations via the hospitality booking system(s) and coordinate with the Hospitality team.
> Handling check-in’s and check-out’s by providing smooth welcome and exit processes to guests and clients.
>Liaise with the housekeeping team, maintenance and garden teams to ensure that all rooms and surrounding areas are up to standards to accommodate guest needs.
> Record keeping & maintaining accurate records in an organised manner.
> General administration at the front desk and hospitality department.
> Any other general duties as requested by Management.Requirements
> Proven work experience (2 years) in 4- or 5-star Hotel environment fulfilling the role of a Hotel Reservationist, Receptionist, Front Desk or similar position.
> Qualifications: Senior Certificate and Hospitality qualification.
> Applicant must be willing to work shifts (06:30 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 23:00) including weekends as operationally required.
> Own vehicle to and from work compulsory.
> Applicant must be based in Cape Town area.
> Firm understanding of work practices within the Hotel and Hospitality industry.
> Sufficient in Microsoft Office and Hotel Reservation software programs (Semper will be of advantage).
> Bilingual in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
> Applicant must be organised, friendly and well-presented.
> Ability to work under pressure and in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
