Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Position Summary

The Hotel Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of the hotel’s equipment, systems, and facilities to ensure a safe, functional, and well-presented environment for guests and staff. This position performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general building systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders to ensure minimal disruption to guests and operations.

• Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

• Perform carpentry, painting, and other general building repairs as needed.

• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts and tools.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

• Assist with energy conservation initiatives and report any potential safety hazards.

• Support other departments by responding to maintenance-related requests in a timely, courteous manner.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop and mechanical rooms.
