Job Summary:

The Hotel Engineering Supervisor will work closely with and report to the General Manager at Main & Sky. This person is responsible for overseeing all installation, repair, and upkeep of the hotel's facilities.

Other duties include:

• Provide daily in-house mechanical and electrical servicing, repair, and maintenance in an efficient, discreet, and guest-friendly manner
• Address machinery malfunctions immediately, ensuring prompt repairs
• Plan and manage all preventative maintenance work, new projects, extensions, and renovations in a way that impacts the guest experience the least
• Fabricate and repair furniture/fixtures, ensuring a well-maintained establishment.
• Reply and respond promptly to guest requests
• Provide technical guidance, oversee project design and implementation, and collaborate with other departments
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets, monitoring progress and addressing concerns
• Conduct regular team meetings and evaluate individual and team performance
• Safely and efficiently perform jobs such as carpentry, painting, and plumbing. Work with contractors when necessary

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as an engineer in a hotel environment; management experience is preferred
• Experience with boilers, chillers, HVAC, etc. is
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and equipment manuals
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Must be available for on-call shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
