Status: Salary Exempt
Expected Compensation Range: $60,000-70,000
The salary range listed in this posting provides the current estimate for this position.
The specific salary offered to a selected candidate will be commensurate with work experience, education, relevant qualifications and skill level.
Age Requirements: Must be 21+
Additional Requirements: Must have open/flexible availability to work AM/PM and weekends.
Role Summary:
The Food & Beverage Manager works with the Hotel F&B Management team to assist with all areas of management including; associate relations, recruitment, training, purchasing, inventory, payroll, guest service and daily front of house operational management of Hotel Arista In-Room Dining, Che Figata (Breakfast, Lunch, Brunch), Zorba Cocktail Lounge and Arista Coffee & Café. This individual is present in the responsible areas during peak service times to provide support to the associates and ensure excellent guest service takes place. In addition, this individual will work with senior F&B leadership to develop a team of associates and support the operation as a whole.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts pre-shift and departmental meetings for responsible areas
- Daily operational management including opening and closing requirements
- Manages the daily schedule ensuring that all associates take their meal breaks according to standard
- Conducts daily review of timecards including time edits, transferring of hours and attendance tracking
- Completes daily tip share reports and end of shift reports
- Ensures all cash handlers are following the required procedures daily, closes out with each associate on shift prior to exiting.
- Communicates with other members of leadership within the department on a daily basis.
- Completes required projects to deadline, follows-up with direct report to complete periodic progress reports
- Upholds Brand Standards at all times while working at the property
- Takes measures to ensure labor and inventory control to budget
- Conducts ongoing training programs for new and existing employees
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline driven, demanding environment.
- Provides service quality and consistency.
- Assists with the planning, organization and servicing of special events.
- Check for food quality and consistency.
- Assist with recruiting, staffing, performance management, payroll and scheduling efforts for responsible departments
- Provides associates with on-the-spot feedback
- Provide a positive, empowering, and productive work environment through setting an example and consistency of daily work habits and standards.
- Instructs new hires and existing associates on the expectations and responsibilities for each of their roles.
- Interacts positively with customers promoting all facilities and services.
- Maintain close and harmonious working relationships with all departments.
- Analyzes, investigates, and resolves guest complaints.
- Upholds all company policies and procedures and requires the same for staff
- Fully understands all applicable emergency procedures and evacuations including fire, bomb threat, weather related instances, power failure, and injury to and illness of persons

Education
- College graduate or equivalent work experience.
- Illinois BASSET Certification required, Naperville BASSET preferred
- Illinois Food Handler Certification required
- ServSafe Manager & Allergan Certifications preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of management experience in a similar Hotel Food & Beverage environment
- Previous experience working in a luxury hotel environment is preferred
- Micros Simphony experience strongly preferred
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks at all times and have excellent organizational skills.
- Able to manage all levels of associates including Supervisory and Line Level
- Proficient computer skills, including Micros
- Must be organized, self-motivated, and proactive.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular and continuing basis
- Must be able to push and pull up to 50 lbs.
