The Borealis Hotel Group is looking for a Front Office Supervisor (f/m/d) to join the team at ibis budget Amsterdam City South,
Our hotel - which is part of the Accor hotel chain - has 314 rooms, a breakfast restaurant and a cool game room. We are centrally located between Amsterdam Buitenveldert and Amstelveen Stadshart and we are the ideal base to explore Amsterdam and the surrounding area. You can reach us by tram (which stops in front of the hotel!). Furthermore, our hotel is easily accessible by bicycle and you can park your car for free.
In the role of Shiftleader your main focus will be to run the shift at Front Office and overlook the other areas of the hotel in the role of Duty Manager on shift.
What does a day look like?
Welcome guests to the hotel and makes them feel at home
Prepare the shift and brief the colleagues on the plan for the day
Engage with guests and follow up on requests and feedback
Maximize hotel revenues by upselling and cross-selling and motivates the team to do the same
Ensures the team on shift works in a safe manner and in a safe environment.
What do we need from you?
We are looking for an enthusiastic, guest friendly host who likes to take the lead and enjoys teaching and developing members of the team.
You gained experience in a similar role or you feel ready to take the next step in your hotel career after having worked for at least 1 year in the Front Office of a large hotel
You are fluent in Dutch and English
Knowledge of the Opera Cloud system and working experience within ACCOR will be an advantage
You need to be able to travel to and from the hotel between 06.45 and 23.30hrs
Ability to connect with people and anticipate on their needs
Together with your colleagues, you ensure a good working atmosphere so that you can get the most out of yourself and your colleagues
