The Front Desk Agent serves as the first point of contact for guests and supports daily lodge operations. This role suits someone organized, flexible, and comfortable shifting between guest service and hands on support across departments.
This is a varied role. Front Desk Agents assist beyond the desk when needed, including light housekeeping duties and operational support.
What This Job Is
You manage guest check ins and check outs, handle reservations, answer questions, and support a smooth guest experience. During quieter periods or operational surges, you assist other departments, including housekeeping, and help keep lobby and public spaces clean and presentable.
What This Job Is Not
This is not a sit down customer service role. It requires movement, task switching, and comfort stepping in where help is needed. Lake Louise is a small village with limited services. Banff is a 45 minute bus ride away.
Key Responsibilities
Greet guests and manage check in and check out procedures
Handle reservations, payments, and guest inquiries
Share accurate information about the property and local area
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk, lobby, and public spaces through light housekeeping
Support housekeeping or other departments during busy periods
Monitor guest needs and escalate issues when required
Follow cash handling, privacy, and safety procedures
Take on additional tasks to support guest and business needs
What We Are Looking For
Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred
Strong English communication and problem-solving skills
Comfort working in a fast paced, changing environment
Willingness to assist across departments as needed
Availability for weekends and holidays
Physically able to perform light cleaning and remain on your feet for extended periods
Team focused attitude with a practical approach to work
Living in Lake Louise
Shared staff housing is available onsite , subject to availability. Housing is affordable and designed for seasonal and longer-term staff.
Lake Louise has a population of roughly 500. Daily life centers around work, the outdoors, and a close working community. People who value flexibility, teamwork, and variety tend to do well here.
