Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to lead and elevate our restaurant, bar, room service, and event catering operations. You will be responsible for ensuring memorable guest experiences, maximizing department profitability, and building an engaged team culture that reflects the spirit of theWit Hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations for all food and beverage outlets, including restaurant, rooftop bar, in-room dining, and banquet/events.

  • Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations, including Chicago food codes and liquor laws.

  • Lead, train, and develop a team of supervisors, servers, bartenders, and culinary staff, fostering a culture of excellence.

  • Monitor quality, service standards, and guest satisfaction through direct interaction and performance metrics.

  • Manage labor costs, inventory, procurement, and menu engineering in partnership with the Executive Chef and suppliers.

  • Partner with sales, marketing, and events teams to execute high-profile private events and promotions.

  • Resolve guest concerns and special requests promptly and professionally, upholding theWit’s service reputation.

  • Prepare and analyze department budgets, financial reports, and forecasts; identify opportunities to improve profitability.

  • Implement innovative initiatives to increase F&B revenue, guest engagement, and community partnerships.

  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies, compliance with the Chicago Fair Workweek ordinance, and promote a respectful workplace.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred.

  • 3+ years of progressive food and beverage management experience in a luxury, boutique, or high-volume hospitality environment.

  • Proven leadership in managing diverse teams and supporting training, recruitment, and performance management.

  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation laws, beverage trends, and guest service standards.

  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Experience with POS, inventory management, and scheduling systems.

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
