Surface Experts is a growing franchise system based in Spokane, WA. We currently have 85+ franchises around the country and are supporting them from our main headquarters office in downtown Spokane.  

We believe in creating impactful experiences that bring people together, strengthen relationships, and promote our mission and values.  We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Events Planner to design, coordinate, and execute a variety of conferences and events that support our franchise network, corporate initiatives, and brand presence.  If you thrive in a fast paced, team-focused environment and have a passion for creating memorable, well-organized events, we’d love to meet you. 

This role is part-time and onsite.

Roles and Responsibilities for Events Planner

·       Conduct ongoing research for yearly conferences including locations, venues, hotels, dates, meals, etc.
·       Coordinate all conference details including vendors, AV, attendees, theme, content, IT, meals, event space, awards, etc.
·       Coordinate event communication including meal choices, hotels, save the dates, event details, travel, schedule, etc.
·       Research and work with supervisor to select and order event swag, awards, meal choices, drink tickets, etc.
·       Execute final events

Qualifications and Skills

  • Applicant should be a self-starter with experience using various computer programs including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). 
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate events planning
·       High School Diploma, or GED equivalent
·       Experience working in a fast-paced environment
 

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to communicate orally. Hearing and vision within normal ranges with or without an assisted hearing device. 
  • No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of up to 25 lbs. of force may be required. 
  • The position is full-time in-person/on-site. 
  • The job is primarily performed indoors in a traditional office setting. Extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer and phone are normal.

Compensation: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

  • Our typical repair requires only 1 to 2 tablespoons of product so our technicians can carry their entire set of tools and equipment in a small vehicle.  Our approach is clean and free of odors in less than two hours.
