Career Opportunity: Meetings & Events Manager for our well known luxury hotel client

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial & Business Development
    Secure new meetings and events business, nurture client relationships, analyze market trends, and drive strategies to optimize revenue and profitability. Manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
  • Operations & Event Execution
    Plan, coordinate, and deliver flawless meetings and events. Oversee Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), site inspections, and ensure the highest standards of service, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Leadership & Team Management
    Lead, train, and inspire the M&E team. Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and cultivate a culture of accountability and service excellence.
  • Guest Experience & Communication
    Act as the main point of contact for clients, anticipating needs and exceeding expectations. Collect feedback and implement improvements to ensure repeat business and guest satisfaction.
  • Quality & Compliance
    Ensure all events meet brand standards, comply with health & safety requirements, and are seamlessly executed in collaboration with other departments.
  • Financial & IT Management
    Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure cost-efficient operations. Oversee Opera system entries, invoicing, and vendor processes, while leveraging technology to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in meetings, events, or banquet management with strong operational exposure
  • Hospitality management degree/diploma (advantageous)
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and proven track record in revenue growth
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional client service and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Opera PMS, and event management systems
